This project was born from the idea of combining classic and modern styles, almost literally merging with each other, playing with the temporality of the sculpture itself. This temporality has been developed both in the whole structure as in the central piece. This classic female bust has the peculiarity of having a knob and moustache, which refers to Clementine Delait. The bearded woman lived in the mid-nineteenth century, and adopted with honesty and pride their physical differences, being an example of tolerance and dignity in society. In this way we reflect the history of those women who were out of stereotypes and canons of beauty imposed by society throughout the centuries. People who sought the honesty of their condition, denaturalizing and dignifying their way of living outside established patterns, seeking the universality of rights and equality for all men and women.
A battle that continues to be fought today and that will never have to be abandoned.
